Society tells us that old age is about fading away. That we must disappear politely, make way, become invisible. But there are those who refuse. After Silhouettes, where I explored invisibility as a natural cycle, this project celebrates those who choose to remain visible.\u00a0\"I'm old and I don't give a damn about you\" is not an insult. It's a declaration of freedom.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The concept: A diptych for each portrait<\/strong><\/h4>

Each person is represented by two images that are in dialogue with each other:<\/p>

A black and white portrait with flour<\/strong> : Flour represents the soul, memory, the ephemeral. It evokes what remains of us when everything else flies away: our dreams, our struggles, our laughter.<\/p>

A contextual portrait<\/strong> : The person in their environment, with exaggerated poses, symbolic accessories, or theatrical staging.<\/p>

Why this diptych? Because old age is both what we once were and what we are today.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Black and white as a universal language<\/strong><\/h4>

Black and white purifies the image, retaining only the essentials: shapes, emotions, contrasts. Unlike Silhouettes<\/em>where I used to capture stolen moments, here I work with<\/strong> my models:<\/p>

  • I interview them to understand their story, their struggles, their dreams.<\/li>
  • I stage them to create images that tell the story of who they are.<\/li>
  • I collaborate with them on the art direction (environments, outfits, accessories, poses).<\/li><\/ul>

    JE SUIS VIEUX ET JE T’EMMERDE ! Portraits d’une vieillesse insoumise Quand l’\u00e2ge devient un acte de r\u00e9sistance \u00ab\u00a0Je suis toujours l\u00e0. Je vois, j\u2019entends, je ris, je r\u00e9siste. Et je n\u2019ai pas fini de vous surprendre.\u00a0\u00bb La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 nous dit que la vieillesse, c\u2019est l\u2019effacement. Qu\u2019on doit dispara\u00eetre poliment, laisser la place, devenir transparent. Mais il y a ceux qui refusent. Apr\u00e8s Silhouettes, o\u00f9 j\u2019explorais l\u2019invisibilit\u00e9 comme un cycle naturel, ce projet c\u00e9l\u00e8bre ceux qui choisissent de rester visibles. \u00ab\u00a0Je suis vieux et je t\u2019emmerde’ n\u2019est pas une insulte. C\u2019est une d\u00e9claration de libert\u00e9.\u00a0\u00bb Pr\u00e9sentation du projet Le concept : Un diptyque pour chaque portrait Chaque personne est repr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par deux images qui dialoguent entre elles : Un portrait en noir et blanc avec de la farine : La farine, c\u2019est l\u2019\u00e2me, la m\u00e9moire, l\u2019\u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re. Elle \u00e9voque ce qui reste de nous quand tout le reste s\u2019envole : nos r\u00eaves, nos combats, nos rires. Un portrait contextuel : La personne dans son environnement, avec des poses exag\u00e9r\u00e9es, des accessoires symboliques, ou des mises en sc\u00e8ne th\u00e9\u00e2trales. Pourquoi ce diptyque ? Parce que la vieillesse, c\u2019est \u00e0 la fois ce qu\u2019on a \u00e9t\u00e9 et ce qu\u2019on est aujourd\u2019hui. Ma D\u00e9marche Artistique Le noir et blanc comme langage universel Le noir et blanc \u00e9pure l\u2019image pour ne garder que l\u2019essentiel : les formes, les \u00e9motions, les contrastes. Contrairement \u00e0 Silhouettes, o\u00f9 je capturais des instants vol\u00e9s, ici, je travaille avec mes mod\u00e8les : Je les interviewe pour comprendre leur histoire, leurs combats, leurs r\u00eaves. Je les mets en sc\u00e8ne pour cr\u00e9er des images qui racontent qui ils sont.
